For when you'd rather not run the infrastructure.
Inflexa runs on your machine, for free, forever. Inflexa Cloud is the hosted service for everything a machine on your desk cannot do: managed compute, shared projects, and the governance a large organisation needs. The Personal plan has no platform fee. You pay only for what you run.
Inflexa Cloud works with Inflexa. Inflexa never requires Inflexa Cloud.
We want to be unambiguous about this, because the open-core model has a bad reputation and it earned it. The orchestrator, the analytical engine, the skill packs, and the provenance substrate are Apache 2.0, and they are the whole tool. Nothing in them is a trial, a teaser, or a crippled edition. If you never buy anything from us, you still have a complete piece of scientific software that belongs to you.
What we sell is the part that needs a server: somewhere to run the big jobs, and somewhere for a team to work together. That is a real thing to charge for. Taking away something you already have and selling it back to you is not.
Things a laptop cannot do on its own
The science is identical. What changes is where it runs, who else can see it, and whether you had to think about infrastructure to get there.
Managed compute
Analyses too big for a laptop run on our infrastructure instead. Nothing to provision, nothing to keep warm, and no queue to argue with.
Shared projects
A place where a team's analyses live together rather than scattered across individual machines. Hand a run to a colleague without exporting anything.
Bring your own storage
Connect your own S3 bucket or Azure Blob container. Data is pulled in for processing and removed from our side once results are written back to you.
Privacy Mode
On Biotech and Enterprise: no data, prompt, or response is retained beyond serving the immediate request, and none of it trains a model.
Single sign-on
SAML and SCIM on Enterprise, so access follows your organisation's identity provider rather than a separate list of accounts.
Bring your own cloud
On Enterprise, Inflexa Cloud runs inside your own cloud account. Data and compute stay in your VPC, and you pay your cloud provider directly.
Three charges, and you can opt out of two
We publish the whole billing structure rather than a headline number, because a charge you discover after committing is a charge designed to be discovered late.
Per-seat, on Biotech and Enterprise. On the Personal plan there is no subscription at all. The platform is free.
Metered, for analyses that run on our infrastructure. On Enterprise, bring your own cloud and this charge goes away. You pay your cloud provider directly instead.
Metered, for the model calls we make on your behalf. Bring your own API key and this charge goes away. You pay your model provider directly instead.
Two of the three exist because we are running something for you. Bring your own cloud and your own model key and they disappear. On the Personal plan there is no subscription either, which means it is genuinely possible to use Inflexa Cloud and pay us nothing but the metered cost of what you ran.
The questions worth asking a company like ours
Two ways in, and both of them are free to start.
Install it on your own machine and pay nobody. Or create a Cloud account and pay only for what you actually run. There is no version of this where you have to buy something to find out whether it works.
